Thornton Park Central is an urban mixed-use development at the corner of Central Boulevard and Summerlin Avenue in Downtown Orlando. It contains 20,000 square feet of retail space, 40,000 square feet of office space, 56 loft condominiums and an integrated 340 space parking garage. This $31 million project was developed by Phil Rampy and Craig Ustler and construction was completed in January 2002. Thornton Park Central opened with 100% retail occupancy and 82% office occupancy with 100% achieved in 2003. The condominiums were completed with 60% of the residences sold and the lofts were sold out by mid 2003. Thornton Park Central is located in the heart of Orlando’s most popular and trendsetting neighborhood. It has come to define the redevelopment of Downtown Orlando.
“Thornton Park, to the south and east of Lake Eola,
is a hip monument to development done right, with everything
from soap stores to sushi, clothing boutiques
to a bookstore and bars, and apartments above it all.”
Orlando Sentinel, Feature Article Reinventing Reality, January 23, 2003
“It’s the most talked about address in town. This upscale urban
living space is located in the center of hip and happening.
But the location is just a small part of the package
– the open-air loft space, big-city architecture, custom accessories,
and the view from the petite balcony can’t be matched.”
Orlando Leisure Magazine, September 2002
